About Lazy Therapy

Whether you’re facing life's challenges, mental health concerns, or seeking professional growth, Lazy Therapy offers a nurturing space for reflection, dialogue, and positive change.
I'm an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and Supervisor (AASW #462388) with a Master's in Social Work. At Lazy Therapy, my passion is simply to offer a clear and compassionate path to better mental health. I believe in supporting people to live more genuinely and find relief from the mental burdens that hold them back. I specialise in working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and the everyday difficulties life can bring. My approach is always trauma-informed and centered purely on Metacognitive Therapy (MCT). I value MCT for its straightforward way of helping you understand how your mind works, allowing you to relate differently to your thoughts. In our sessions, I tailor this approach to your unique experiences, guiding you towards a way of thinking that feels lighter and more manageable. My background in Disability Services, Youth Justice, and frontline mental health at headspace has offered me a valuable perspective on the everyday challenges people face. This experience deeply informs my work, reinforcing my belief in an approach that genuinely helps you understand and use your own strengths to move through difficulties. Beyond the Clinic Outside of my professional life, I enjoy philosophy, playing guitar, surfing, hiking, bike-packing, and tending to my veggie patch. My Qualifications Master of Social Work (Qualifying with Distinction) - Queensland University of Technology (QUT) Professional Recognition Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW) Accredited Supervisor (AASW #462388) Registered Medicare Provider under the MBS (offering accessible mental health services through MBS rebates) Practical Know-How Supporting students, new graduates, and experienced Social Workers to build skills and confidence in clinical practice.
